American Heart Heartsaver CPR/First Aid (CPR)
Cardinal Institute for Health Careers’ Heartsaver CPR/AED & First Aid education program (AED) is designed for individuals who are not working actively in an acute medical setting and do NOT have a legal responsibility to respond to a medical emergency. This also includes anyone interested in learning life-saving skills, to allow them to be better prepared. This AED education program is 4 clock hours.
- Must be able to physically participate in chest compressions
- Must be able to breathe through a mask
- Must be able to stand or kneel for lengths of time
Program Completion Requirements
This program includes CPR/AED skills for adult, child and infant, use of barrier device and choking interventions. There is NO written test for this course. Return skills demonstration is required for certification.
Upon completion of the course, the student will receive a Heartsaver Completion Card that is valid for 2 (two) years.
